JOB was co-founded by Orin Lehman,
Eleanor Roosevelt, Bernard Baruch and Howard Rusk in 1947. At that time, the agency served veterans with disabilities who were ready to go back to work. JOB has expanded its mission to include all job seekers with disabilities, both visible and hidden. Recently, JOB entered into a partnership with Abilities!, a nationally recognized Long Island-based organization that provides services to employers and job seekers. This affiliation has broadened the scope of our services.
